A little bit about me, my name is Jennifer Crandell. I have been creating since I was a child. I absolutely love making things with my hands and trying different types of crafts. My aunt was one of the first ones to get me involved in creating by teaching me how to cross stitch at age 10. I went on from there to painting, sewing, and creating art digitally in college. In 2005, I started selling my handmade items in Austin at a little shop on South Congress called Parts & Labour.
I moved online from there to sell on etsy with my shop, Feltcraftic. I sold handmade Wool Felt stockings and accessories, as well as, the Wool Felt sheets themselves. I did very well at Christmas time with my stockings and stayed busy selling wool felt to other makers in the industry. I loved it!
However, in 2012 baby number two came and a move to Houston, TX. I tried to keep up with all of my responsibilities and my new full time job, but it became too much, so I had to close Feltcraftic. We moved again in 2016 to a little town called El Lago. El Lago was one of the first astronaut neighborhoods, because of it's vicinity to NASA. It was the home of Neil Armstrong and many others. Several years after getting settled into our cute little town came the pandemic and I got back into my crafts for relaxation and to help with my anxiety. I started making more embroidery and needle art pieces, which really calmed me. That's when I decided to reopen my online shop, and share some of my favorite things with other like minded crafters and to also help others create more calm in their lives and encourage people to make more things with their hands.
I have always enjoyed having a Crafternoon and I decided with my vicinity to NASA and living in the first astronaut neighborhood, the perfect name for my new shop would be Craftermoon. So settle down on the couch, get comfortable, grabs some crafts and have a Crafternoon with Craftermoon!
